No One Has the Right to Harm Me!

No one has the right to harm a child—even parents. Children are to be protected against all forms of violence (physical, mental and sexual), against abandonment or negligence, and against mistreatment and exploitation. (Article 19)

Children are to be protected from drugs. They may not buy, sell or produce drugs. (Article 33)

Children should be protected against all forms of sexual exploitation and sexual violence, including child marriage. (Article 34)

Adults may not force children to do something dangerous. (Article 36)

No one has the right to steal, kidnap or sell a child. (Article 35)

A child may not be taken far from his or her parents without his or her agreement, and may not be kept abroad, since that is kidnapping.

If a child has been kidnapped, governments should do everything to free the child, whatever country the child is in. (Article 11)
