Effective Communication for Contact Tracing

Effective communication 🗣 is important for contact tracing and helps to build trust. Be kind, respectful and non-judgmental. Practice active listening👂 by repeating what they say to show understanding, asking questions to show concern and watching them closely to show interest.

Ask questions in a way that gets the contact to share information you need e.g., "tell me about your situation at home", OR "have you been coughing?". Contacts should do most of the talking while you observe their tone and emotions. Be supportive as they share their concerns by encouraging them when they speak.
